Meet Your Veterinarians in Oklahoma City, OK
Here at Hefner Road Animal Hospital, our team dedicates themselves to providing top-notch wellness care services that cater to your pets’ unique needs. Many of our vets and staff members helped us establish our clinic years ago and prioritize making our animal hospital a place of healing, comfort, and respect.

Dr. Purvis
Dr. Purvis
Dr. Purvis (“Dr. P”) grew up on a farm with many animals and always enjoyed spending time with them and caring for them when they were sick or injured. He strove to become a veterinarian to help as many animals as possible. After high school, Dr. P attended Oklahoma State University for seven years, graduating with his DVM degree in 1976. He worked with all sorts of animals in various hospitals after receiving his degree, and he settled in at Hefner Road in 1998.
As a vet, Dr. P especially likes talking with pet owners and educating them on the dental health of their furry companions. He’s also passionate about advising owners on the benefits of noninvasive laser therapy.
Dr. P spends most of his free time raising cattle. He also enjoys traveling and camping at various state and national parks, and occasionally goes golfing and boating.
Dr. Linda Blair
Dr. Linda Blair
Dr. Blair came to work at Hefner Road Animal Hospital in 2002 doing relief work while also working full-time at the Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Hospital. She loved our hospital for its long-term stay, overall cleanliness, and good medicine.
Dr. Blair’s love for animals started when she was a child with a Beagle mix who loved to eat trash and went to the vet often. She grew up in Tulsa as a city girl who wanted to be in the country with her animals! Dr. Blair has worked in Springfield, MO, and later in Lubbock, TX, in a small animal emergency practice for ten years. In 1999 she relocated to Oklahoma City to work at the emergency clinic and has been here ever since.
Dr. Blair has two children; a son who plays ice hockey and a daughter who rides horses in English riding shows. They are also both on archery and skeet teams.
Dr. Blair has many hobbies; she loves to ride and show horses, occasionally run in mud adventure races, travel, waterski, sew, craft, and read, to name a few. She also won a national powerlifting meet in college. At home, Dr. Blair has three dogs, two cats, two hunter/jumper horses, a chinchilla, three goats, and 11 goldfish in the horse trough.
